• The medical supplies Carolina Cancer Foundation assist with are: Mastectomy Breast Prosthetics, Mastectomy Bras, Compression Garments, Lymphedema Compression, and Cranial Prosthesis(Medical Wigs).

• Insurance does not cover 100% cost, leaving patients  with another medical expense. So patients end up not receiving the proper medical supplies due to affordability.

• Studies show that those lacking a medical grade garment immediately after breast removal could potentially end up having fluid back up resulting in Lymphedema, reconstruction surgery, or far worse, death.
