Financial Resources for Hardship:

• Financial hardship is another area we assist. Carolina Cancer Foundation assists with medical supplies,  gas vouchers, food vouchers,  when funding is available.

•  Being told that you have cancer is enough to digest alone. Surveys say that the first question that comes to mind after hearing this diagnosis is:  “Am I going to die?” The second question is: “who will help support my family while I receive treatments?”

• Carolina Cancer Foundation eases each patient mind by letting them know we are here for them. It's sometimes impossible to work while receiving treatments as it can take a toll on your body.

• Almost 70% of patients who receive services from us had to take a Leave of Absence (LOA)  and some had to resign if LOA benefits were not available. Leaving patients to stop focusing on healing only to worry about finances.
